Roles:
A Site Superintendent, or Construction Superintendent, coordinates and schedules on-site activities for construction projects from start up through completion while maintaining project goals. This includes responsibilities like:

  • Ensuring the project reaches planned milestones and schedules
  • Creating scope of plans while working with designers and clients to ensure quality of completed projects
  • Maintaining safety, cleanliness and organization of job sites
  • Working with the Construction Manager to prepare scopes of work
  • Responsible for site set up activities such as preparing the site set up plan, completing the Project Start-up checklist and confirming paperwork such as Building Permits are in place
  • Accountable for company equipment and tools assigned to the project
  • Responsible for ensuring all materials are ordered for projects

  • Education:
    A Trade Qualification Certificate, or diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management is generally required. Experience in the desired industry, and working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Project and MS Excel is also needed.
