Roles:
Cost Engineers are responsible for managing project costs. This can include planning, estimating, scheduling and risk management.

They often work in office environments and must have excellent computer skills, particularly with financial software such as Excel, Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera, etc.

Education:
Cost Engineers can have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or in Cost Engineering. Knowledge and/or experience in the industry they wish to work for is also recommended.
