Roles:
Working with engineering and construction teams, Document Controllers are responsible for establishing, implementing and managing systems for the distribution and maintenance of project documents such as drawing documents, specifications and correspondence. Some of their job responsibilities can include:

  • Working with a project team to prepare technical submissions
  • Keeping track of documents and correspondence
  • Maintaining and updating all document registers
  • Conducting document searches and generating reports
  • Receiving and sharing vendor equipment drawings for approval
  • Education:
    Most Document Controllers have a diploma or degree in Business Administration or related experience, as well as experience in the industry they are applying for. They must also be able to work with computers and software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project or Primavera.
